Durable Medical Equipment/ Custom orthotics

For the convenience of our patients, we now offer a wide variety of braces and splints on site in both our Miami Lakes and Plantation offices. This assures that after your evaluation with the physician, you are properly fitted with the brace or splint that best protects you from additional injury.

OAUSA has the ability on site to offer the convenience of custom orthotics and bracing. An orthotic device is an orthopaedic appliance designed to control abnormal motion in the foot and ankle. This device is created by first taking a plaster impression of the feet and then it is forwarded to an independent lab for fabrication. The orthotic device is made to exact specifications of your foot. Once returned from the lab, the orthotics are worn in your everyday shoes to alleviate pain associated with heel pain, arch pain, flat feet ankle pain and lower back pain. Also, we offer on site custom bracing. Like orthotics, these too are made from plaster impressions to assure exact fit and function. Braces are used following surgery or to control pain associated with conditions such as arthritis, tendonitis and fractures.
